Damn I was hoping for a new P5. A upgraded P3-24 would make the P5 even more irrealevant.

Guys, you really should stop worrying.
New isn't always better, especially when it comes to turntables. I especially wouldn't be worrying about small incremental differences between decks of the same basic design.
If you have P3, P5 or P25 I'd be inclined to sit tight, start saving and go for something truly better in due course, either from the top of the current range or from someone else.
