Hopefully the theme ~White noise~ will generate interest on a hifi forum. Here is one take on this theme, from a couple of weeks ago;

nice pics but white noise?

Ready for the "where's your effort" then, but given the reducing number of entrants to each successive category perhaps it might be an idea for whoever wins to try a topic that has something to do with photography?
 
It's a funny thing though Cav - I've done it meself - you pick a theme that you think will open all sorts of interpretations and only after a while do you realise that it's not as easy as you thought to find a suitable image. I think this theme is fine, and - as usual - can be interpreted fairly openly.



P.S. Where's your effort? ;)
 
In the absence of a Tardis (noticing the entry date range), I have assumed that the OP meant the 12th or 19th May as the end date ;-)

Anyway here goes with my effort from the kitchen

(Nerd info: Nikon D3X Micro Nikkor 45mm PC-E lens tilted fully forwards, sugar by Tate & Lyle, curved with a medium contrast curve in CS5 and then resized to 700 px and a 77% 1px 3 levels "ninja" USM applied before adding the border and saving)
