I have posted some pics in the Trade section. Because non trade members cannot post in that section I have started this thread for all those who wish to talk about the new NAIM 'style' Shoebox case from AudioFlat.

The people who expressed an interest in the case when it was a group buy will get a substantial discount off the retail price, which will be about £100 inc. case, inner tray and front panel.

I will answer any questions on this thread or via:-

I'm new to this so be gentle people!

Are you doing anything for feet ? I assume that these locate the tray and holes are best made pre powder coating... or am I just worrying unecessarily and in fact you can drill it no problem ?

Cases will be drilled before painting. Feet will be supplied with the case 'kit'.

Perhaps this is known to Naim users but what are the internal dimensions of this extrusion?

Suresnois who's not a Naim user

Is there a supply of original knobs?

I'd be up for a full size case for a ZAP build

Knobs wont be available from us for the foreseeable future.

Full size case if the shoebox ones sell well. The tool alone for the full width one would be £15k. As it is the shoebox one was £5k and thats before you pay for the actual materials!

Having just worked with a miller on a bent sled, I suspect that Naim punches front and rear panel holes prior to bending.

For DIYers, it would make more sense to build a sled from 3 separate panels. The milling will be much more solid then. Will you be offering the cases sans sleds and feet?
