The Szell 4th is wonderful, as is his 6th.Superb ensemble and tight as a drum.I have his Beethoven and Brahms also. Equally superb.

There's a great performance of the 4th by George Szell from mid 1960s, with Judith Raskin, soprano. Consistently a top recommendation, and at budget price (assuming its still available)..

I think there's an sacd of it? It's a beautiful recording- ideal for very late night listening.
Just checked its Reiner on sacd living stereo.
