Live gps tracker

I'm getting involved in a charity event in the summer, and we'd like to track the participant.

Ideally we want to share live location data ( via Facebook) and have followers via phone app.

Any experience/recommendations.

We're not going anywhere wild, we should have signal.

The thing I'm seeing at the moment they're all phone to phone, we'd like it linked to a Facebook group rather than having to do manual updates.

I read somewhere that it could post to facebook or do a tweet - couldn't find it on their website though.

You can log into FB wherever, but its manual.

Endomondo tracks with phone GPS, but (as far as I can work out) you post after an event. Its that sort of mapping we'd like, with a live feed so others can participate, and the support crew can be on time.

http://trackleaders.com This site provides live tracking for sports events.
http://www.findmespot.eu/en/ seem to provide the tracking for them. It may or may not offer what you want.

Runkeeper Live will do that. As long as the app is downloaded to an Andriod or iPhone (or smartwatch), it can be configured (via Runkeeper Elite from memory) to provide live tracking feeds to others providing they have a runkeeper account set up (free) and added the person being tracked as a friend.
