Cannes is nearby and worth a visit, the beach is nicer there I think.

I get the bus to and from the airport. Very frequent and dead cheap.

Yup...bus is easy cheap and fast if you are close enough to the route.

98 outside the airport terminal takes you to the cathedral in the old town.

Thanks Bob, that concurs with what I found. There seem to be several other local buses as well. Seems well served.

We are here in Nice and it is indeed nice. Sadly the weather is decidedly British but everything else is fine. We ate in Barracuda last night and agree it is excellent and very good value. Fine art musee, Russian Cathedral and Port today. Minibus tour of major sights of the Riviera tomorrow.
