So I'm looking for new speakers and I'm torn between the two mentioned.
Now there seems to be some favourable review on the IPL gear online, but hardly anything on the Wilmslow stuff. There are some articles on the Wilmslow Prestige, which seem favourable, but nothing on their TL line of speakers.
So can anybody share their experience with either speaker; or, of course, both
For some background; I'm looking at these 'big' TL speakers because I like bass (duh), not the 'modern' wooly undefined whoomp sound, but the deep well defined texture of large halls and big organ pipes.
They would be placed in a living room, and our house features little kids, so consessions is the name of the game. The room is 'L' shaped, roughtly 7m x 7m with a 3m x 3m corner taken out. They would be placed in the corner of the L firing down one of the legs.
Given what I've read about room nodes, that should be more or less at the size where these big bass speakers 'work'.
