Iphone help

I have a new iphone and am trying to unlock my old one to sell. I have hit a snag as it is asking for my iCloud password to complete the unlock.I know my Apple i.d. But I haven't got a clue what the password is and I don't remember setting one up. Is there a way to sort this?

Go to the apple ID page. Clearly you can't log in but below the log-in is a: 'forgot password' box. Click in there and follow the process.
