Has N. Korea pushed their luck too far now?

And testing the Pu implosion device in front of the Russians. Hiroshima was the U235 cannon design, which was never going to be suitable for most bombers or a missile. It was a bomb test on disposable targets

I wasn't trying to derail this thread, just to point out that nuclear war has to be the closest thing to hell on Earth. That, and it is the 72th anniversary of that horrible day, when people on one side of the globe dropped a bomb on people on the other side.

I find it chilling that the prospect of nuclear war is even being considered, tellingly by two lunatics with more ego than brains, both of which have stupid hair!

Joe

Still no evidence that the Koreans said what the media is claiming?

Yeah my hypothesis of those with questionable hair should never be in positions of power has some weight now.

When things like this happen i always think about the song "Pets" by Porno for Pyros.

It was totally unnecessary. The Japanese were beaten. The US knew this yet murdered those 70,000 people anyway.

Why on earth you'd consider anybody stating as such to be trolling I do not know. It's not as if it's some far out, wacky opinion.

No mention of Israel = fake maxflinn.

Yup, using over 300,000 people as lab rats.

Sick bastards!

This reminds me of an anecdote that happened only yesterday.

Whist driving the car in town someone stepped into the road w/out looking only circa 3 metres ahead of t'bumper.
Fortunately I had anticipated this, so had already slowed to a near stop.
I peeped my horn to say 'I'm here', and they looked around apparently annoyed.

Then he walked to my window, so I wound it down before realising the person was very tired and emotional.
With much effort the pedestrian opined 'you ... honked your horn ... in your car ... on the road', then walked off.
I wanted to discuss the situation further, but the words wouldn't come out.

There is no credible evidence that North Korea has any nuclear warhead capable of being launched;

Even if they did China would not let them do it.

That's all folks!

The surrender was probably partially due to the Russians entering the war against Japan, and invading Japanese territory, between the dropping of the first and second bomb.

Interesting; didn't know that, as I'd assumed that Russia was in a state of war with Germany's axis allies by default. Which territory did they invade; Manchuria?

Odd that Kim Jong Un seems to be more of a threat than his father or grandfather. Maybe it's the impetuosity and naivety of youth. Rogue states don't usually last that long but this one's been going for nigh on 65 years.

It's incredible how this narrative is spreading and pushing the world to the brink of nuclear war, with absolutely no need for credible evidence whatsoever.

Or, as historians have mooted, the dropping of the bomb was probably partially due to the Russians invading Japanese (held) territory, which is to say the message was intended as much for the Russians as the Japanese.

And the Kuril Islands, part of Japan's Northern Territories, which the Russians occupy to this day.

We all know there is no imminent threat, but in 2-5 years there will be. NK are making faster progress in the direction of dropping nukes anywhere that anyone had predicted even 6 months ago. The point I made yesterday still stands;

If North Korea develops a nuclear weapon system capable of striking the heartland of the US while Trump is president, does anyone think he would not fire a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Pyongyang?

BTW Kim does not take orders from China, that much is clear.

Yes he does - and if he ceases to do, he will disappear.
