Hardest Place in Britain

He supports the right team then.
Boro have less of a hooligan problem than many clubs. I’ve been to a fair few home and away games over the last 4 years and can’t remember any violence of note. I did see quite a bit in the late 80s but football violence generally was more prevalent.

Perhaps a more appropriate way to think of the hardest place(s) in Britain would be to ask where are the hardest place(s) in Britain to live, grow and thrive and in safety at that. While most cities and towns will have a degree of variation within their respective boundaries and also comparatively with other towns and cities, Glasgow certainly has its fair share of areas in which it's extremely tough to live, grow and thrive and where personal safety can vary considerably from day to day.

This Guardian article talks about the Glasgow effect, whereby residents of certain areas are quite likely to die prematurely compared with national and international averages.
