Been offered slightly tatty 72b for £25

No cartridge, wooden plinth, not sure if working, worth a punt? Bear in mind I shouldn’t be buying anymore... but if its a bargain ill find the dosh

Haha I suspected as much, was next to another Garrard theyd taken out of a console. Would be in bedroom system but still want quality, thankyou for the tip, im still somehow under 30 so my knowledge of the older stuff is a bit flakey beyond the classics

It all depends on what degree of quality one is seeking.... These can perform surprisingly well in a budget system.

I agree with Jez - for £25 you'll get a decent enough deck, as long as you're prepared to put some effort into cleaning, servicing and re-lubricating it.
