Fatman Wi-Tube Advice

Hello
I have been running a Fatman Wi-Tube amp for 3 years or so and, prompted by the aquisition of a pair of Tannoy DC6T speakers, I recently changed the existing 6N1 valves for a pair of Russian 6n1p tubes. After a couple of days the sound settled down and I have been very happy with the results.
Until last night a came across a copy of the owner's manual online that specified that the amp should have 1x6N1 and 1x6N2 valves..? I of course checked elsewhere, reviews etc and all sources ageed that my amp should have the 2 different valves, though I could find no indication as to which valve should go in which socket.
Perplexed am I.
Like I mentioned I have been happy with the amp so far - it seems to work ok with the pair of 6N1's and I assume the amp is not being damaged by the (possibly incorrect?) arrangement.
Advice anyone?
