we will be hosting a very special event on Thursday January 18th 2018 here is the story of how it all began

Our epic journey began with Fondamenta, a record label that shares our passion for adventure, and a crazy bet: to see if we could unearth legendary lost recordings that had never been released. And bring them back to life.

It took a team of highly skilled sound archaeologists over a year to find the first legendary recordings, buried in the immensity of the world's sound archives. Using our Expert technology, Fondamenta developed Phoenix Mastering®, a unique audio excavation process designed to recover the full richness of analog tapes. The Lost Recordings started to take shape.
t was the Summer of 1975. Sarah Vaughan gave a magnificent concert at the Laren Jazz Festival. The loss of this live recording has remained a tragedy ever since. A piece of our emotional heritage almost disappeared with it. After an epic adventure driven by passion, we managed to unearth this unique masterpiece. Along with a number of legendary jazz recordings: Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans, and more still to come.

The restoration and remastering of these analog tapes could not have been achieved as perfectly without the help of Fondamenta. Using our patented Expert Pro digital-analog hybrid capabilities, they invented a unique audio excavation process called Phoenix Mastering®. For uncompromising sound quality.

The ultimate analog medium. A fascinating phenomenon. Cut from a single sheet of pure aluminium coated in nitrocellulose, lacquers demonstrate exceptional physical properties, making it possible to capture even the most intricate nuance and texture of a recording. Incomparably. And yet they are never supposed to be listened to, their sole purpose being to provide the master copy for vinyl cutting.

Few people have the privilege of experiencing this unique medium. The Lost Recordings collection is a rare invitation to explore and share intense emotion. In its purest and truest form.

The casing for this ultra-rare medium could only be entrusted to the hands of world-class craftsmen. Philippe Atienza and Pierre Gerber, both named Meilleur Ouvrier de France, were the perfect pair.

Handmade using the finest leathers sourced for bespoke luxury leather goods, each case is an exquisite work of art.

Only 30 lacquer sets exist per album.
