Declime of Film and the craft of photography

Anybody else feel the same way that despite the convenience of digital the skill and craft of photography has decreased?

Never forget that feeling and trepidation when developing a roll of film and then into the darkroom for an all night printing session.

Yes we have convenience now and quality across the board has improved but are we better for it.

The cream will always rise to the top. It's the photographer that takes the photograph, not the camera (digital or film).

I try to visit the Visa Pour L'Image photo festival in Perpignan every two or three years. I soon realised that there's an enormous body of talented photographers out there, many of whom were unknown to me.
