Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan, RIP.

My adviser on all things Irish sent me this link about her past, so maybe some clues there. She certainly hasn't had the easiest of lives, but way too young to die.

The linked article is insightful and seems to explain quite a lot.

Some years ago - thanks for the correction below RickC6 - Dolores was escorted off a plane after an alleged assault on an Air Lingus flight attendant. The writer of the article, Barry Egan, who I know, says this wasn't such a surprise.

People who knew Dolores were expecting a disaster to happen at some point. She was bipolar and unfortunately had an extremely hard life, from being raped as a child to nervous breakdowns and suicide attempts.

It is sad that Dolores has gone, but some of the music she has left behind is great. The Cranberries latest album, Something Else, has acoustic/string versions of some her best known songs. It is well worth checking out.

Terribly sad. Made some classic 90s records. PS the escorted off the flight thing was 4 years ago by the way....
