Crécy Forest Art

A few years ago it was decided to turn a small number of trees in the Forest of Crécy over to sculptors so that they could make artworks of them. Yesterday, I set myself the task of cycling to the forest, locating and photographing each of the nine trees (not always easy, even with a map) and cycling back to base. The whole took me six hours and was a fine way to spend a beautiful day. I thoroughly recommend a visit if you are ever in the area. Here they are with their titles, some of which are incomprehensible even after reading the artists’ notes that are helpfully provided alongside...
