chroma key software for photos

Can anyone point me at software for the mac that'll let me do this? Pixelmator, Affinity photo and Preview give mixed results (I'm a flaky and uneducated user). PhotoKey 8 - the demo appears to work well - seems very expensive. Green Screen Wizard is cheaper but the website looks a bit dated and uninspiring which leads to doubts. iMovie works but of course isn't aimed at photos.

Any ideas?

Moving images are just a series of stills right? One of the best keyers out there is Primatte and you can get that for free in Blackmagic Design Resolve and Fusion.

The learning curve may be a bit steep though.

Thank you for the replies - and sq225917 for the kind offer. I think I may have the Primatte keyer on the mbp so will have a look.
