Choosing reservoir caps.....

Currently, one of my Exposure IV Duals is out of action, and awaiting components.
Thought that, given the age of the amps, I'd take the opprtunity to change out the original 10,000uf screw types on both of 'em.

I'm drawn to the 10,000 hour lifetime spec....what else should be considered please??

Assuming they fit physically the PEH200s above are very good. Out of stock though, and not available to backorder.

I used these on a recap project last year, and I imagine they're probably fairly close to what's already in the exposure?

When I posted the link in #1.....I took a chance, and ordered the remaining 4 caps that were then in stock, and also back ordered another 4 that will be sent out in the next few weeks!
At £12 per piece, the price was good when compared to a Mouser UK and Farnell UK price of around £28 each
....a good buy I think!

Certainly good caps but you'll need to get some new clamps for them because they are a lot narrower than the originals.

I'd have gone with these as the closest equivalent to the originals and are a drop in replacement.

It's a bit of a bodge to do that really and you will need a lot of insulating tape which will go all nasty and sticky over time.

I certainly wouldn't be at all happy to receive used equipment in that sort of condition.

Yes - in engineering it'd be called a bushing.

Tape was never in the mix....
I've got some 8mm neoprene-like sheet, and thought a strip of that would be perfect as a bushing. (thanks for that!)

It would be called 'bodgery' and get rejected back for rework. Use the correct size, search function is up at the top right

I'd be more inclined to de-solder the screw terminations and use soldered in caps, more choice. Samwha HC or Kendeils likely to be best option. Make sure that Kendeils have embossed gold writing (not printed yellow)
