Tish was superb. So intense that I couldn't watch the next after it, will have to catch up on iplayer.

I struggle a bit with Tish Murtha, I appreciate her work for its extraordinary documentary value, and she was a remarkable person, but try as I might, I don't really like it. It isn't merely that I obviously can't relate to it - Chris Killip's photographs really engage me, and he was working in the same area at the same time amongst some of the same social issues.

The Vivian Maier piece, which is a decade old, was fascinating. Such an enigma.

I watched the Tish Murtha and Vivian Maier documentaries, I enjoyed many of their photos but I left feeling a bit sad for them both.....
