Amazing trees

The most amazing ones I've seen are in the gardens of Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute. The one that most stands out in my memory is a thing which grows what looks like giant green bananas (about 1M long!) with thorns.

A neat pic from National Geographic:

Looks like ants on a tree, and reminds me a bit of this pic from Crystal Cave in Mexico:

How can anyone not like trees? At the moment my favourite variety is the rain tree:

The Bristlecone Pine Forest is an amazing place and one I recommend to everyone who is planning a trip to N California. I don't think many get there, which suits me. Some places are best left empty.
