FWIW I recorded the BBC4 HD stream (DVB-T2) and plan to listen to it later on. If I hear more glitches I may see if I can analyse their cause. I also want to ask someone about this but he's 'on holiday' for a couple of weeks, so can't until he gets back.

I've just tried it again from iPlayer and it its behaving itself now..... wonder what's changed. The problem occurred on both my Win10 PC and on the iPlayer app on a Humax Freeview HD player. I did try other programmes on iPlayer last night and they didn't have any problems so I don't think the problem was local to my network.
