Very sad news. Loved the Changes album.

It took him until his sixties to achieve success and then cancer got hold of him.

RIP.

He had a tough life and just when things were looking a bit better .... What can you say, RIP Charles.
 
I like to think I know a bit about popular music... but when I saw all the announcements on social media I have to admit my first reaction was "Who?"

Not even vaguely aware of the name let alone the music - Spotify is made for days like these

He only became famous in the last few years. Which pretty much makes him quite underground because only the most commercial artists become widely known these days.
