Heavily recommend watching the slow pokes at 1.5x - 1.75x speed. Heaven forbid going so slowly it requires 2.0x speed.

In R2R terms, the real question is how this compares with the Gustard R26 and the Denafrips Pontus 12th. I've heard it is comparable to a Holo Spring 2 Level 1-2 DAC.

If you don't mind, naturally our systems will be different, but what did you make of the Pontus compared to the Qutest?

Someone’s selling a pair of SCM7’s for a fantastic price on Maverick Hifi (basically new, splinter Wigwam due to the current issues going on with the main site).

Heavily researched the past few days and thinking about how I just want to be one and done for at least the next few years, I think I will be shooting straight for the Pontus II, Gustard R26 and Holo Audio Cyan 2 tier of R2R DACs. And perhaps doing a Lampucera DIY project as far as valve output...

Good evening Aspro. Potentially interested, but also contemplating going straight to the Gustard R26 or the Holo Audio Cyan 2. Did you end up upgrading DACs, and if so, what DAC did you end up going for?
