The Q Deck shipped as standard with the Ortofon OM5E which are available for under £50. I bought one new in 1989 & it served me well for many years. TS

The positive reviews of the headphone amp was the tipping point for me going for the Nait 50. Obviously important when you live in a small flat. The reviews weren't wrong, it's the best headphone amp I've ever owned. I agree with you entirely re the white LED.

I actually suspect the Focal 906 would be a really good pairing with the Nait 50. I owned a pair a few years ago & they sounded excellent being driven by a 10wpc Leak Stereo 20. I didn't find them bright or forward in any way which obviously contradicts hifi forum consensus. TS

It's a relatively expensive niche product within a niche hobby. Not really that surprising there not flying off the shelves. Just taken a look, dealers don't appear to be discounting them which suggests to me they are selling just fine. TS

My understanding is R21 should be a 100 ohm 3 watt wirewound, its what I've used. The other alterations I can't help with but if I was you I would just return the component values to stock. A photo of the underside of your amp would be helpful, there are some extremely knowledgeable folk on here...

I should also point out I'm no Naim fanboi. The only other Naim product I've ever owned is a Nait 5Si which was a great amp but bettered by an Elex-R I owned a while later. In fact I probably identify more as a Rega fanboi given how many of there products I've owned (& still own). No excuse...
