That's a poor analogy, a crane and a TV are not similar. Class A amplifiers from the same company, albeit designed by different people are more closely related. I do agree though that the SE is very different sounding amp to it's predecessors.

Like you I have owned the A21SE, the A21a and two A21s. I agree about the original, for me it's the best amp they have made. In reference to the OPs question I loved the SE, it's such a crystal clear amp and wasn't bettered by the Luxman that replaced it. I would definitely be trying before...

You might be surprised with the Sugden. I often am with my A21.

The only person to disguise themselves as Russ Andrews was the baby Jesus. They hold similar powers.

Or the the fact that early Naim, especially the Chrome Bumper stuff, was as good as it gets from this company and everything since, often costing a pretty packet, just isn't as good.

I bought some Coda MK3s last year. A pretty unremarkable speaker in every way.

Yep. I didn't think a Hicap and Avondale APX2 or whatever added anything to the 32.5/110 combination.

32.5 with no additional power supply.

Whatever those white boxes are they look great. As do the speakers.

Stack records in the dishwasher and run on a low temp setting for minty clean records.
