    Vintage NAC 32

Do you mean the bolt-together SNAPS which are the same shape as a Nac12? In which case, yes, they're like hens' teeth....

    Vintage NAC 32

Purely my opinion, but I'd not bother with the dual railing. Nice bolt-together 32s are not common these days, so I'd enjoy it as the designers intended it, and if you really want to scratch that dual rail itch, sell it on and get a 32-5 or similar. Cheers Adrian

    Garrard 401 advice, please!

Hi Folks, With the LP12/Nima laid up for repairs, I retrieved the 401/UP4 from the loft the other day. Spent a happy hour or so re-installing a Dynavector 10x5 and setting it up. Gave it a quick spin and all sounding good. An hour or two later, noticed some orange gunge had appeared under...

    Roksan Nima question

Hi Folks, First post here in ages, have been out-of-the-loop for a while. Long story short, the other day my daughter collided with my LP12/Nima/DV10x5. The words I uttered would not bear repeating. On inspection, only visible damage was a snapped arm raise/lower lever on the Nima. Made...

    Garrard 301 service

I've been out of the hi-fi loop for a while. I was aware that Loricraft were sold to SME, but thought the 301/401 servicing/rebuilding would continue for a while. Has this now come to an end? Cheers Adrian

    Quad II servicing...

Hi Folks, I have a couple of Quad IIs. They were bought as a non-working pair without valves. What I'd like to do is get them serviced and have new valves fitted. My intention is to use them with a 22 preamp, and I'd like them kept as original as possible. What are my options? Do IAG/Quad...

    Pioneer SA-9100 in the house

When did the unobtainium start? Were the 9500 series affected or was it when the 9800s arrived with all the fluorscan meters and other bling? The reason I ask is that I have an SA9500 and TX9500 patiently awaiting overhual and some general TLC. Any recommendations for a competent servicer in...

New Tiger Paw Sratos Sondek plinth ?

Might the name not relate to the metal used to make the arm?

New Tiger Paw Sratos Sondek plinth ?

To quote Wikipedia.... "The credit for the first usage of personal names for weather systems is given to the Queensland Government Meteorologist Clement Wragge, who named tropical cyclones and anticyclones between 1887 and 1907."
