@Columbo We heard the Alumine 3's, fantastic speakers, fast, neutral, easy to drive is how I'd describe them.

@Mr Pig If memory serves, I think it was Phil March who recommended to me to discard the Tramp, for some unknown reason I didn't.

    Torture test tracks

@Mike Hanson Good suggestion, similar as to why Friday Night in San Francisco is also good. @Columbo I don't know why you need torture test tracks, if we dem any piece of equipment it is always done with music we know very well and like. Will you ever listen to these tracks again, probably...

I don't believe I ever demo'ed with and without the Trampolinn, the dealer recommended and I agreed. I did however think the Lingo 1 made a very worthwhile difference, strange as so many like and dislike the Linn upgrades.

    Replacing Epos ES14s

I honestly can't remember if we did hear the Arc's, I can remember Phil at Phonography had an old pair of Hawks for sale and we did hear those. I've never heard the Diapason but would love to.

    Hardest Place in Britain

I'm assuming you don't know the bus shelters I'm talking about, if you did you would understand. I can't remember the last time I saw a phone box, although I haven't been looking for one. Still the best fish and chips I've had anywhere. Unfortunately many have closed and they no longer use...

    Hardest Place in Britain

@stevec67 I'll agree regarding Wetherspoons (I don't know why everyone is on his back, he's restored many old properties all over the uk), and knocking down the high rise flats can only be a good thing. I'd don't go to Guildford St so can't comment on that. The biggest problem was the...

    Hardest Place in Britain

@stevec67 I don't know if you can remember the bull ring/market place in Grimsby centre. It should have been left as was, instead of building the some of the ugliest buildings around. I'm talking of St James hotel/accompanying office building, and the section with Halifax/Wilko's and what used...

    Hardest Place in Britain

How many times have they changed the one way system round Grimsby Town Centre since the building of Freshney Place. Who came up with the great idea of bus shelters having glass roofs and and clear plastic sides? How many times have they messed with Freeman Street and surrounding streets, even...

    Hardest Place in Britain

@stevec67 Grimsby must have employed some of the worst town planners in the history of town planners over the last 35 years. The list of having to re-plan, when basically they have had a blank page to work from is endless.
