High end speaker cables from Ali Express

Most $1000+ power cords are not UL certified...but the $3.00 ones are.

AQ have been busted for using equalizers when A-B comparing their wires with others.

You can now buy a Rolex or AP superclone that is near identical to the original for about 10 % of the genuine Rolex/AP cost.. ..wires are much easier to reproduce than mechanical watches.

But UK and US wire companies also propagate demonstrably inaccurate information too. Also, the less said about Peter Belt.. the better.

Yes, you need the difference in gravitational pressure to siphon the electrons from the amplifiers to the speakers. The speakers MUST be at a lower level than the amps, otherwise the current would flow from the speakers to the amps.

High end speaker cables from Ali Express

So, Ali Express has rightfully been shaded for selling inferior counterfeit products...the Nordost line of Valhalla and Odin wires being a prime example. Indeed I have used these with mixed results...the "Quodin" interconnect was overly warm sounding with loss of transients, while the Quodin...

Record cleaning fluids - audible residue?

Yes, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. Fortunately most LP's I had at the time were pure paper sleeves without the plastic porthole.

Record cleaning fluids - audible residue?

Back in the late 1970's I used Permastat fluid, which really DID eliminate static charges and the ability of the vinyl to suck out the entire atmospheric dust once removed from its jacket. You would be able to put a treated album on top of a synthetic carpet and there would be essentially...

Further throughts on the Gustard R26...and how to make it better.

Upgrading the clock on the Gustard is sort of like improving the power supply on the LP12...first the Valhalla, then the Geddon, then the Lingo and finally the Radikal.. All just get the platter to rotate at some nominal speed. If you believe that 'reclocking' the Linn can give subjective...

    Brands that disappeared very quickly

Anybody remember Alphason...they made both a high-end turntable and a tonearm. When I was a House Officer in Preston, the consultant surgeon who I worked for invited me to his place one evening. He had both the TT and the tonearm, and said it was gifted to hime because he saved the life of the...

Deltecs first product was the Black Slink interconnect circa 1985...I had a custom one built to go from my 42/Hicap to the Audio Research D70mk2 amp.

What about Albarry...they made some unusual amplifiers at the time, but were never more than a short lived blip on the radar.

Two pairs, eh? I wonder if a stacked pair of AE1s' would be the same as an AE2?

When I went on naim forum šŸ˜‚

To be honest, the Isobariks are one speaker where an OOP installation may go unoticed, since they spray sound all over the place with little attention to phase coherence. I once ran one out of the six drive units out of phase when I had active DBLs....this was a much more subtle error to hear...
