For around 6 months of the year, a Sony NW-ZX300 feeding Beyer DT1350s is my only source of music. I’m sure the DT1350s would benefit from a separate headphone amp, but I’m reluctant to go down that road in the interests of not lugging extra gear around.

IIRC, some software would intentionally insert a gap of a couple of seconds between tracks, otherwise all tracks would play as one continuous track. There was also an issue when using a lossy format that you couldn’t get a seamless transition between tracks. Something to do with the encoding...

I bought an old X a couple of years ago as a stopgap while I was figuring out what to buy amp-wise. It’s been in my system ever since.

I only recently checked him out, though I’ve known of him for some time. I don’t usually go for modern high-energy blues, but I make an exception in his case. His more recent blending of genres other than blues are worth investigating. This Land has become a firm favourite here.

This thread prompted me to dig out Measure - it's years since I listened to it, and it's the only album of theirs I've heard. I like it a lot more than I remember. They've released a lot more than I realized. Any recommendations on what to listen to next?

Wilko and Norman played my graduation ball back in the day. Wish I could remember who the drummer was! One of the more memorable gigs I attended.
