Sennheiser momentum overears fit the bill! Have demoed them various times with the thought of buying them but have had an old set of Sennheiser HD448s for commuting for the last decade that are still going strong! If the ever break I’m replacing them with Momentums. At home I use HD650s.

My hifi cost a lot less than £600 and looks and sounds as good as new! All Rega Clamshell Planet CD and Mira Amp were £250, IO Dac was £100 which I use as the DAC for an Airport Express and Ifi Spdif ipurifier both bought second hand £100 and Rega Kytes £40. No turntable but that lot was £490.

What’s your source? I would just use a Y-Splitter from the source.

I think with a Decent Amplifier the headphones you have will sing! I personally use HD650s but wouldn’t class them as better only different.

I stuck mine on eBay when I went back to AEE and got three times what I paid for them new!

I use an AEX through an ifi Spdif ipurifier switched from a CCA due to Amazon compatibility and couldn’t fault either for sound quality! But appear to be one of the lucky ones on the internet who doesn’t have or claims to have Golden Ears!

I use a Clamshell Rega IO Dac. Can’t see me changing it any time soon but it only has a Digital Coaxial input!
