I think it is hyperbole to describe the K5 as "a hell of a great cartridge". I would still replace the K5 if it was in perfect condition and the DL-110 fits the bill excellently.

"phonomenal" - I like it!

The DL 110 is high output so if your phono stage can handle a K5, it should have no problem handling the Denon.

The DL 110 would be as good a cartridge as you'd ever need for the Basik. Extreme value for money.

Why don't you give it away (no need to polish and picture)...
