Another thing to consider with RF when restricted to a simple array of lenses is whether you are a 35 or 50 shooter or perhaps even wider. I love the 35 for the flexibility but it does not mitigate the fact that in my heart I'm a 50mm guy :)

I'd wait a few weeks for the new Auralic G1 Aries and Vega combo, should be available from mid to late June - a bit more expensive that the Altair but leverages G2 technology. I think the two units are ca. GBP3.600 together. If you have a good DAC then you can just consider the Aries unit

I liked the S40 on the end of a Mcintosh MA8000 but didn't think they bettered my S25, but they were also a more expensive speaker in their day albeit 15 years ago :)

Ended up as a cheap day out for me - live in Munich, so just the ticket and parking AND today I found out that I had one a pair of Focal Clear headphones, so an in credit rather than debit days out. Special thanks to Naim / Focal for hosting such a generous competition.

I went form n-DAC / 555 PS to Chord Hugo 2 and am happy with the switch, Qutest is on order which will free up H2 for duties better served to headphone capability

I've never had a problem with Audirvana and library management - I am having a constant fight trying to get Roon to update folder content when adding to new albums to pre-existing artist folders on my NAS. It may just me and my impatience at not digging more into Roon. :rolleyes:
