Oh, the source is PCM, 44.1khz 16bit. I am using this SoX resampler, because it supports 352.8khz (its possible to write the desired samplerate). The DSD output is done via foo_dsd_asio and asio proxy. I haven't tried the HQPlayer. I might give it a try.

I have done some trials with SoX upsampling to 352.8khz and comparing DXD (PCM) and DSD256 (Native) output with Foobar2000+AsioProxy. I definitely like the DSD output more. And i like both more than just plain 44.1khz output, which really does not sound bad either. I used to be against...

I got the UP model, with the upgraded input board. I think its well worth the money. I bought all the op amp options as well, and have tried like 20 different op amps in the input buffer as well (since its possible and i felt adventurous). I think the Sonic Imagery Labs 994 is a safe bet...

The Nord One Up is best amp i have yet heard or owned. Ever since i tried Hypex amps 2012 i have been using them. Last years i have been using nCore based amps. I tried to go back to class A/AB, but you can put 10k+ euros on a class A/AB amp and its still just "almost as good" as a good nCore...

JohnW, I'd like to know if I owe you development money? I have the m-dac fusion premium, and i paid £300 almost two years ago in advance (by mistake). I am going for FDAC FWC (level 3). Its impossible to keep track of these things. br, Elviz

I am interested in the FWC version. I take it the display+controller chip is no longer needed from the original M-DAC (if the project goes that way)?

The problem is something i haven't encountered before. It feels like there is extreme amounts of jitter in the data streaming. It can be ok for a few minutes, but then something starts oscillating resulting in miss timed data frames. It looks like that if the USB buffer is visible on the MDAC...
