    Your worst HiFi/Audio purchases ever...?

NAD speakers, I was very young, they lasted about two weeks then one of the tweeters made a fizzing noise and turned in on itself like it was having a stroke.

Affordable speakers that performed way better than their price suggested.

Dali suite 2.8s I think they were, best £300 I ever spent.

    Total Rethink

I'm a cd guy but for what it's worth I got fed up of streaming and dumped it entirely. I found I was constantly jumping around and not really listening to albums. Tough decision to make, good luck with it.

What was/is your favourite CD player

I have a cayin cdt 17 which sounds great but I no longer use due to its blingy ugliness. Current player is a rotel rcd 991 that I bought secondhand many years ago, I use it as a transport these days and it has never let me down. Dream machine for me would be the big canary audio transport.

Usher speakers , Any love for these ?

I have the 718 dmd tiny dancers, love them to bits. They need a fair bit of power to sound their best though.

I'm with you on that, I use tidal but and when I find stuff I like I buy the CD. I love Cds.

CD transport - Cambridge Audio CXC, Audiolab 6000CDT or Oppo UDP203

I use a couple of cd players as transports through a Mytek Brooklyn dac, both sound better used as transports rather than stand alone players. This will be down to the dac being a bit more up to date than those onboard the cd players I would imagine. I plan a dedicated transport myself in the...
