The plan is to get a laser cut flange and base assembly and fit them in place of the existing glued affair.

A friend has one that needs fixing so looking for one I can rip apart and develop a removable base to make servicing less daunting.

You can leave the resistors in place for now and try adding 2db to the mid and see how the sound changes. From memory the B110A is quite a bit less sensitive in the mids than the B110B.
