Mick Thanks for the recommendation of “A British Audiophile”. I’ve watched his video’s on the ATC 40 and the Naim Nait 5si and CD 5si. Both were very well done. As a Naim owner of earlier versions of both the Naim products, I found his assessments very much on the mark. Thanks again. Oh, and...

    What's going on at Naim?

Mr Setright wrote for Car Magazine along with “Steady” Barker, George Bishop, and Phil Llewelyn(sp?). Wonderful group of writers. A superb magazine in it’s day.

    Naim Nait 50

Ah, to be a sprightly 49 again. Those were the days!

What price nostalgia for beloved NAC52

James Here in the United States a complete rebuild for a NAC52 is $1,595 in US dollars, of course. The company that does the work, AVOptions.com, has a long time connection to the Naim factory. I believe the principal worked for Naim in the good ole days. Go to their website and you’ll find...

    Shahinian hawk amp recommendations

Mark is on to something. Years ago I auditioned an Audio Research DCI 200 integrated amp with my Obelisk 1’s. Class D modules within, the amp/ speaker combination had me listening well into night. Not being the sharpest tool in the shed I assumed I would find something better. I didn’t!

ACM Curious as to why you’re moving on from your HX100 with Obelisks. I own one of, what must be, the very few HX100’s here in the US. Using it Obelisk 1’s and BBC style speakers. Cheers

    Devialet Phono Stage

Martin I was an early adopter of a Devialet 170 which I still have. Things may have changed but I had to use the configurator. I no longer use mine with a turntable so not up on what may be the latest. An elegant device that deserved more popularity but audiophiles being audiophiles…………..

Naim n-Sats in Piano Black like new, how much should I list for?

I thought they sounded great on their Naim stands but I’ve just learned otherwise. : ) Cheers!

    Dynavector Amps

A follow-up to my comment just above. At my age I really appreciate that, while hardly light weight, Dynavector, Naim, Rega, Sanders Magnatech, Sudgen, and others don’t routinely tip the scales at close 100lbs or more. I REALLY appreciate it!

    Dynavector Amps

I smiled at this. Glad mine is worth at least three grand but she’s not heavy compared to my McIntosh and the latest Parasound, Pass Labs, Boulder etc.! Cheers

Mick Your voice has been missed. Common sense as always. Cheers

    Krell K-300i Integrated Amp

Tony I haven’t heard this latest version of the Krell integrated myself as they are rebuilding their dealer network, but it is getting some very good reviews here in the U.S for what that’s worth. Stereophile had it as a finalist for amplification product for the year 2020 (I know, I know!)...

Amp for KEF LS50's? No Digital inputs.

A bit off the wall after all the worthy choices above, but I power mine with a several year old Devialet 170. Inexpensive used and great with the LS50’s. DAC and phono stage included. Haven’t heard the new little KEF KC62 sub but if it is half as good as has been reported, add it to the above...

    Eureka!

So true! I had trouble hearing some words when talking to folks and just thought it was part of the aging process. It got progressively worse to the point where the TV volume was over 80. Not good. Went to my healthcare provider and two ear flushes later and medicine for small infection in one...
