You could try removing and reseating the valves- symptoms like this can sometimes be down to poor contact between valve pins and the base.

I have a Modulus 86 which was made considerably better with a dual mono linear power supply. I guess the same would be true with the 686.

Had crossclimates on previous cars- excellent tyres particularly in the wet. Current car has Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports which are brilliant tyres. If you check user reviews on Tyrereviews.com they score higher than Michelin Pilot Sports, which are what a lot of people seem to rave about.

If you want a TD124, find a cheap one and send it to Ant at BTE designs. You will get back a perfectly working example, and he will also plinth it for you if you wish. I’ve known Ant personally for many years and he does a top notch job, very much a perfectionist. Doesn’t charge the earth either.

It’s definitely slowed the speeders down, which can only be a good thing in urban environments.
